The Safariland Group announced today the decision to launch a new brand of concealable body armor specifically designed for the international market – “Safariland Ballistics International” (SBI). With nearly 40 years of experience in manufacturing body armor for law enforcement agencies throughout the United States, the SBI brand will deliver quality and performance-engineered body armor to countries throughout the European market.

The Safariland Group (the “Company”) through UAB Safariland International (“Safariland International”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Safariland, LLC, has acquired certain body armor and personal protection equipment assets from Arveka TGS UAB (“Arveka TGS”).

ABA® announced today that it has released several models in its Xtreme® SX ballistic package - a cutting-edge series of armor designs with the use of proprietary materials from Honeywell. This SX family of armor solutions features the newest generation of Honeywell Spectra Shield®, a composite material made with high-strength, lightweight Spectra® fiber. By incorporating these materials, the SX offers unmatched performance and comfort. The SX combines comfort, flexibility and durability along with uncompromised protection, while also integrating aramid materials in its hybrid design.

The TAC AR features a low-profile internal comfort foam system, an external cummerbund with three rows of 1-inch modular webbing for added pouch attachment platform and a dual closure system. This plate rack provides first responders with more built-in options making this sleek carrier a great tool in their arsenal.

Safariland®, a BAE Systems line of business, announced today the addition of the new APV (All Purpose Vest) QR (Quick Release) Carrier. The APV QR incorporates all the same features of the standard APV tactical vest with the addition of a quad release QR system which is ideal for maritime operations or for agencies requiring quick doffing capabilities. The vest is designed around the BALCS (Body Armor Load Carriage System)/SPEAR (Special Operations Forces Equipment Advanced Requirements) ballistic shape used by the U.S. military for high speed and mobility. The ballistic panels in this all-purpose quick release vest are interchangeable with the standard APV tactical vest and the upcoming APV LV (Lo-Vis) covert vest, which is anticipated to be released in early December, to offer mission flexibility for any operation without compromising protection.
