Safariland® Introduces New SLS Paddle Holster with Automatic Locking System

The Model 6368 is an entirely new paddle-style concealment holster that features Safariland’s Automatic Locking System (ALS™). In addition, the 6368 employs the unique SLS rotating hood design for a smoother single-motion draw and greater protection. Further, it features the Safariland Hood Guard already installed.

Bianchi® Introduces The Luminator™ Holster For Guns With Rail Mounted Lights

Bianchi International recognizes the necessity for a compact and lightweight holster for officers who keep a light mounted on their weapon. To meet this market-driven need, Bianchi® designed the Luminator™ Duty Holster using AccuMold® technology. The Luminator™ has a semi-closed bottom design that covers the bezel of the light to protect the lens, and an open muzzle to allow debris to fall through. An ergonomic pad on the belt loop for added comfort and user-adjustable tension bars keep the Luminator™ securely in place on standard duty belts up to 2.25” wide. The Luminator™ is also available in a low-ride version which is a 1.5” drop from a standard ride designed for female officers and others that require a low-ride holster. Initial fits available include the Glock 17, 19, 22, 23 and Sigarms P220R, P226R for both the Streamlight® M3 and M6. Model 7145 is available in ballistic and model 7945 is available in plain, basketweave, or hi-gloss DuraSkin™ finish.

Safariland introduces two new concealment paddle holster offerings – the Model 6358 and Model 6368 w/ SLS - both with their all-new Automatic Locking System (ALS™). With the ALS system, once the weapon is holstered, it “locks” into place providing additional security from typical open top holsters. The device is completely operable with the thumb, making it very instinctive to use. Plus, once the retention device is released, the weapon can be drawn straight out of the holster with no twisting or other motion required.

Safariland’s New “Automatic Locking System” (ALS™) Introduced in Best Selling Tactical Line

New for 2006, Safariland has added two new tactical holster models that employ their evolutionary new Automatic Locking System (ALS™). The new Model 6304 and Model 6305 include all the features of the standard 6004/6005. While both models utilize Safariland’s time-tested Self Locking System (SLS), there is one key addition: the ALS™ internal locking device that retains the weapon in all directions when the primary device is open, providing Level II Plus Retention™, which can also be elevated to Level III Plus Retention™ with the addition of the Sentry.

Safariland® Introduces New Retention Holster Concept To Its Line Of Duty Holsters

A year in the making, Safariland has introduced the next evolution of duty retention holsters with their all new Automatic Locking System (ALS™) uniformed duty holsters. Available in either a standard ride (Model 6360) or with a 1.5” belt drop (Model 6365), the key to this system is an internal locking device that secures the weapon in all directions simply upon reholstering, providing Level II Plus Retention™, which can also be elevated to Level III Plus Retention™ with the addition of the Sentry.

Doug Koenig Adds Another Masters Championship

Shooting in good conditions, Koenig won the event by a considerable margin over second place finisher Bruce Piatt. Koenig also won each of the three events of the match with a score of 41 in the Long Range Pistol Event; a score of 36 in the Precision Event; and a time of 21.52 in the Action Event. Koenig’s remarkable string of victories at the Masters Championship is, in his words, the result of “hard work and knowledge of how to train properly for the match.” Koenig remarked, “many people think I come here and take home the automatic victory. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

Doug Koenig Wins Ninth National Action Pistol Championship

Doug Koenig, widely regarded as the world's best all-around shooter, won his sixth straight National Action Pistol Championship (Bianchi Cup) at the Green Valley Range in Columbia, MO. The Bianchi Cup is considered to be the most difficult precision pistol matches in the world and it is also one of the most prestigious prizes in competitive shooting.

Pride Awarded #1 Auto Shooter in California Governor's 20

Detective John Pride (LAPD, ret.) of Team Safariland & Armor Holdings, Inc., was awarded Number One Auto Shooter for 2004 in the California Governor's 20. The annual Awards Banquet was held on May 14th, 2005 in Sacramento, California. Pride's average for 10 matches was 1490 points out of a possible 1500 points for each event. He was also presented with a California State Senate Resolution for this accomplishment.
