SAFARILAND®/KONA® WHITE PATROL BIKE INTRODUCED FOR ITS INCREASED VISIBILITY FOR PUBLIC SAFETY AGENCIES

The must have color for high-visibility

ONTARIO, California – Safariland® announced today that it has released the Safariland®/Kona® Patrol Bike (29er) in white. The Safariland/Kona Patrol Bike is built from the ground up as the premium patrol bike for law enforcement and security markets and utilizes some of the most technologically advanced components in the industry.  The new white color with its bright high-gloss finish provides increased visibility for those in public safety and industrial markets.

“Since its debut in 2012, an increasing number of agencies are now choosing the Safariland/Kona as their bike of choice. With the growing demand for patrol bikes among public safety markets, the addition of the white bike was the logical step for Safariland because high-visibility is of utmost importance to these groups,” stated Scott Carnahan, VP for the Safariland Patrol Bike brand.

The Safariland/Kona 29er in white allows for smooth riding, even on rough terrain.  Whether climbing hills or riding on asphalt, the 30-speed Shimano® drivetrain allows for quick and easy gear shifting. This patrol bike is ergonomically designed for better rider response providing a more upright position with more clearance in the cock-pit. There is no need to purchase additional bolt-on rear racks or a kickstand, which can damage the frame, since they are integrated into the Safariland/Kona Patrol Bike. The white 29er is constructed of durable Kona® Race Light 7005 aluminum, making it lightweight for a rider to easily carry.

The Safariland/Kona Patrol Bike-White includes the following features:

  • Hydraulic disc brakes – for additional breaking power
  • Ergonomic grips - for added comfort
  • Internal cabling system - for non-obstructive riding
  • Sloping toptube - with padding for more stand-over clearance and comfort - ideal for long shifts
  • RockShox™ - high-performance forks
  • Tapered oversized headtube - for improved stability, durability and overall riding performance
  • Kick stand - frame specifically designed for heavy-duty kick stand

The Safariland®/Kona® White Bike is available now, with an MSRP of $1,589.00.
