Half-Finger Bike Patrol Gloves Allowing Greater Weapon Control in Humid Areas Introduced by HATCH®

Special unit bike patrol gloves specially designed for consumers seeking half-finger gloves

JACKSONVILLE, Florida HATCH® announced today the introduction of the Model SUBH100 Half-Finger Special Unit Bike Glove, designed specifically for bike patrol officers looking for greater dexterity of motion in the fingers while on patrol. Engineered with advanced materials to provide a glove that is both durable and comfortable for all-day bike patrol, this Special Unit Bike Glove features closed-cell foam in the palm area to help reduce fatigue and stress on the hand.

“After the introduction of our full-finger model last year we saw a demand for this model in a half-finger-style so we delivered,” said Todd Mussell, Category Marketing Director for Hatch. “The SUBH100 is an option that can give the wearer greater tactility for weapon control, especially in areas where it’s very hot and humid.”

The Hatch Special Unit Bike half finger glove features both 3-D mesh spacer fabric and Airprene foam for comfort and performance.  The 3-D knit spacer mesh keeps fresh air flowing through the glove for comfort and the Airprene on the back of the hand allows skin to breathe and helps protect against impact.  The unique features of the Airprene foam allows for moisture to be released through the fabric eliminating heat discomfort when wearing protective gloves for a long period of time.

Further, to help reduce fatigue and pressure on the hands, closed-cell foam is placed strategically in specific areas on the palm. This helps relieve the stress that can occur from long hours on the handle bar and grips when on bicycle patrol. Featuring a hook and loop wrist-length closure, the SUB Patrol Glove is reinforced with double needle construction and extra stitching in the high stress areas to ensure long-lasting wear.

The Hatch SUBH100 is available now in black in sizes S – XXL with an MSRP of $31.00. For more information please visit www.hatch-corp.com.  This glove is also featured as part of the new Safariland Bike line and can be viewed on www.safarilandpatrolbikes.com.
