Course Overview
Designed to provide instructors who have completed the Defense Technology Instructor
Program with the opportunity to renew their instructor status by attending this class
(instead of re-taking the 4 Day ICP) and receive the most current and up-to-date training
techniques in the field of less-lethal munitions.
This course combines classroom lecture and range drills, with an emphasis on instructor
development and includes comprehensive instruction in the technical, operational and
tactical applications of OC, Less Lethal Impact Munitions, Chemical Agents and Distraction Devices.
To ensure students have a full understanding of the subject,
they are then asked to “teach back” in their own words key concepts, decisions or instructions discussed during
the lecture period. Range drills consist of a number of tactical applications and scenario-based force-on-force
training exercises. Participants use simunition and protective gear to role play through actual scenarios.
Each scenario is critiqued then debriefed by the instructors.
